Mazda to feature amazing racecars at the 2013 Classic Motorsports Mitty

The Speedfest at the Classic Motorsports Mitty presented by Mazda, the oldest and largest historic car event on the East Coast, will return to Road Atlanta April 26-28, 2013. Sanctioned by the Historic Sportscar Racing Association, the 37th Mitty will bring together cars ranging from 1950s classics to current models.

Mazda, the presenting sponsor, will have more involvement than ever before with a display of their new cars. This will include opportunities to ride in and drive their latest offerings in the infield.

What's even more exciting is that Mazda will be bringing some of their most storied and successful racecars to the event to compete on track and to be seen up close at their display.

These cars include the 1990 IMSA GTO RX-7, the 1990 Group C 787, and the 1992 IMSA GTP RX7-92P. These cars will not only be on display but will also be raced on track all weekend. This is a definite treat for all those fans of Japanese racing history.

Don't forget about the Cam-Am reunion also happening over the weekend. More than 20 historic Can-Am cars will be on display and racing at speed on track over the weekend. These very loud and incredibly fast cars are a fan favorite.

If this was not enough, remember that the featured marque this year is MG. MG offers full support, with lots of help from the Peachtree MG Registry, the North American MGA Registry and the North American MGB Regisrty. They are working to bring an amazing collection of MG cars to the event. That, combined with Classic Minis United holding an event on site at this year's Mitty, will make this one of the most car- and fun-filled events we have ever had.

If you are interested in being a sponsor of this year's event, want to get your car club involved, or if you would like to have your own standalone event on site like Classic Minis United, please email Andy Reid at andy@classicmotorsports.net and he will help you set it all up.

If you are interested in being a part of the vendor village, act fast—space is filling up. Email Joe Gearin at joe@grassrootsmotorsports.com and he will get you involved.
