Tristan became the youngest sports car racing champion in late 2012 when he capped a mind-boggling season that included 11 wins, 12 poles, and seven track records in his rookie season. In 2013, Tristan turned Pro, while becoming the youngest class winner in GRAND-AM Rolex Series history as well as in American Le Mans Series (ALMS) history with his win at Detroit Belle Isle and Baltimore, respectively. In 2014, he was named a MAZDA Motorsports factory driver, and currently competes in the #07 Mazda SKYACTIV diesel prototype in the TUDOR United Sportscar Championship for SpeedSource.

Crossing the finish line first for Tristan in no way precludes spreading a visible message to combat distracted driving and curb the growing issue. Tristan is well versed on the subject, having spoke at dozens of high schools across the country in addition to attending the inaugural Florida Distracted Driving Summit alongside former Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood in Tampa, Fla., as key state and government officials addressed the subject.

Next weekend, Tristan will compete in the 62nd Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway. National television coverage begins at 10:00 A.M. EDT on FOX Sports 1 on Sat, Mar. 15.
