Maz, a digital publishing platform that runs over 750 iOS, Android, and Amazon apps may be hitting a home run in a new partnership with USA Today.
Maz recently announced that they will develop a series of apps across the USA Today Sports Weekly platform.
USA Today Sports Weekly has debuted and gives sports fans the in depth coverage they desire of major league baseball, professional and college football and all levels of basketball, hockey, and various other sports.
The app provided game previews and analysis, commentary and opinions, and popular fantasy sports information from the USA TODAY Sports staff,.
Users will also have access to information from more than 100 Gannett properties around the country.
"Our audience has dramatically shifted towards mobile experiences," states Matthew Graham, VP of Audience and Product for the USA TODAY Sports Media Group. "This partnership is a great next step as we continue to provide our users with best-in-class native apps."
This has the possibility to reach more than 50 million people each month, making it one of the most popular sports apps of all-time.
Reader can take advantage of the unique aspects of this app like specialized social media feeds, curated sources of content and a personal feed where you can see only what you want to see.
Its a win-win for all parties involvded. Readers will have easy access to the information they want and the USA and Gannett companies can use the personnel they currently employ to run and provide content for this new app.
"The best thing about this partnership is how easy it has been for us to publish," said Krys Krycinski, head of mobile for the USA TODAY Sports Media Group. "We're now distributing to three different platforms with a variety of fresh features, but we've really been able to concentrate on the content instead of the tech."
