(An informal response to Floyd Mayweather Jr.)

I am not even going to trouble myself with quotes. It's all over the internet. If you want to hear Floyd Mayweather Jr. say it himself, here's a link of his racial and below the belt tirade against Manny Pacquiao. Click it at your own risk.
Honestly, I didn't really want to pay Mayweather Jr.'s recent cheap publicity stunt any more mind, but this is what I get paid to do and people from different ethnicities and walks of life have asked me what I thought about Floyd's comments, obviously because I am am Filipino and at the same time, I cover Filipino Sports together with Pacquiao's career.
This is typical Pretty Boy Floyd. I mean, what person goes in hiding and stays silent for such a long period of time when Pacquiao's camp had issued a challenge for them to fight in the ring, even denying that negotiations existed when neutral parties like HBO confirmed that there were discussions, then all of a sudden come conveniently out of nowhere after his opponent officially announced fighting someone else, spitting hateful and racist comments. All of a sudden Mayweather found his tongue after Pacquiao found a replacement when the former went MIA to places like Dubai and MIA in Florda. That my friends is straight up ignorance, gutter mentality and simply cowardly.
This is what the Mayweathers want- to bring boxing down to their level. RACISM??? Prior to all the smack talk the Mayweathers have launched against Pacquiao from all angles, this racist garbage was not an issue. But instead on focusing on just Pacquiao, Mayweather went on a campaign telling America to "support him like an American soldier because he is an American citizen," and then go on bashing Pacquiao and his country with his unsubstantiated accusations saying "the Philippines have the best enhancement drugs," and now calling Pacquiao "a midget" and saying he will "cook him in rice with cats and dogs," a slur used against Asians to suggest they are dog and cat eaters. What kind of person does that?
And yet when a nameless, random person on the internet that identifies himself as a "Pacquiao fan", comments on unregulated forums and comment boxes spitting similar idiotic rants, you got American writers jumping at the chance to call Pacquiao fans racists. Can you say double standard? Here you got an identifiable person who is also considered as the face of American boxing, repeatedly slurring and dissing Pacquiao and his ethnicity, promoting hatred and then when nameless nicknames on the internet lash back out, then it's Filipinos that are racists. Guess what? It could be any person like some uneducated 12-year-old in the Philippines where even bums can get internet access or an African-American Mayweather fan trying to make Pacquiao fans look bad, a website owner wanting to generate more hits by spiking controversy or just an ignorant coward who can say things hiding behind the computer which is seen in all kinds of sports forum sites but would otherwise not have the guts to utter the same things in person. Yes there are idiots out there, but they were not invented by Filipinos and Pacquiao fans.
And then you got this. A world renowned athlete who a lot of the same American media that jump at the chance to take shots at the nameless and faceless "Pacquiao fans", turn their cheeks on and act as if his remarks are simply "speculation", "jokes" or whatever euphemism they can think of. What a shame.
So if I may appeal to the millions of sensible boxing fans out there: It's about time we stopped entertaining Mayweather's shameful hate campaign. Mayweather just wants to drag everyone else down to his classless, childish and ignorant level for the sake of publicity. This is a guy who worships money above all. Believe him or not, at least you don't hear Pacquiao insulting other people and promoting disgraceful acts. It's about time we tuned this loudmouth out. And believe me, there will be those who have their ulterior motives or people who can't help but be affected by Mayweather's racist and infuriating insults that will lash back with a similar idiotic tone- people are people. You will probably see retaliatory racial comments from across the board, but don't look at anyone else to blame other than the person who has promoted this mentality in boxing. That's none other than your boy Floyd Mayweather Jr.
And again- please- racism has no place in this world. If you think it wouldn't matter and you won't be accountable since you're behind the computer at some random place in this world, have some respect for yourself and the people that you might be associated with. Let Mayweather proudly show the world what big of an idiot he is. Simply refuse to be sucked in it.

Well said Dennis. My response to fairweather is, for all what he said about Manny Paquiao, prove it in the ring. Otherwise he's (fairweather) nothing but a loudmouthed, lying, yellow bellied COWARD.
all american boxing scribes complained and made a big deal about pacfans being racist when they are just replying in kind to the mayweathers statements about the pacman and the filipinos. if the mayweathers would do racial comments about filipinos american boxing scribes think it is ok, and acceptable since floyd is an american and on american boxing scribe would take him to task for that. kevin iole thinks the pacman is despicable for fighting a licensed fighter like margo and floyd is not for fighting a known and admitted cheater like mosley. this is hypocrisy of the highest order.

They rules, if a niggah says racism it is not actuall racism. It will just a expressing ones thoughts (Freedom of Speech) but if ethnic group will have a balls ( unfortunately floyd doesn't have that ) to speak racist word or discriminatory to niggahs, it will be racism. Only a niggah can cry out "foul, it is racism against niggahs" but they are just using this as a self defense because of history. Not saying it to all black brothers all over the world but the are lots of certain individuals who does this as if niggahs are the only ones who have all the rights to cry out against racism. How about other etnic groups? Floyd doesn't have the rights or anyone to discriminate others just because you are AMERICAN!? Floyd got a lot of alibis, even making the americans as escape goat, saying to support him because he's an american, just like american soldiers!
