Saturday night, in the Floyd Mayweather vs. Shane Mosley, Mayweather won in a lopsided 12-round decision in the welterweight showdown in what is being called the biggest boxing fight of the year. Mayweather fought more aggressively than he usually does, and was almost knocked down during the second round.
After the fight Mayweather said: "I wanted to give the fans what they wanted to see, a toe-to-toe battle, it wasn't the same style for me but I wanted to be aggressive and I knew I could do it."
Floyd Mayweather Jr. remains undefeated in 41 fights, but fans wanted him to knock out Shane Mosley. Mosley looked strong for the first few rounds, but Mayweather was the clear winner after the second round. Mayweather’s pay for the fight was a guaranteed $22.5 million.
"I think we could have pressed the attack a lot earlier, and then we could have got the knockout," Mayweather said.
The Las Vegas MGM Grand audience was filled with boxing greats and Hollywood stars, including Muhammad Ali, Will Smith, Paris Hilton, and more.

Two ringside judges gave the fight to Mayweather with 119-109, and the third had 118-110, while the Associated Press had 117-110 Mayweather. Mayweather landed 208 of 477 punches, while Mosley landed 92 of 452.
In Salt Lake City, Utah friends gathered in groups around the city to watch the fight. Kevin Coburn said that the Mayweather vs. Mosley fight: “It was a great fight to watch. Mayweather was at his best. I truly enjoyed watching it. It was a fun night.”
Although the pay-per-view sales numbers won’t be out until Monday, this fight was expected to be one of the biggest fights of the year. The second biggest fight is expected to be the Pac vs. Clottey fight in March.
Perhaps after this fight, Mayweather and Pac can get back to negotiations for a possible fall 2010 fight, if they can come to an agreement about blood testing. For more on the blood testing debate, click here.

PACMAN will take the test just not close to the fight. Mayweather is the one scared to fight PAC because of the blood testing demand. If PBF is not scared then why asked the stupid Olympic style drug testing at all. Just go inside the ring and fight. Hopefully NSAC approves the Olympic drug testing then Pacman will fight because it is a commission's demand not PBF.

How confused and disillusioned the Money Mayweather fans are. It is Floyd who is scared of Manny, and the the precise and ONLY reason why he conjured up this olympic style drug testing PERSONAL requirement in the first place. People will say "Oh,m but Shane agreed to it". Well of course he did because his past involvement in perfoamcne enhancing drugs will not allow him to refuse. Manny, however, has NOTHING to hide and NOTHING to prove in that department. Come on Floyd, cut the BS and fight the one person you're truly afraid of.
Freddy thought shane was too good for pacroid even at a catchweight. We just saw floyd annihilate shane...shane connected with only 82 punches in 12 rounds!!! shane usually throws 60 to 70 punches a round with an average 40% connect...simply incredible! Pacroid needs to man up, take the test (even teenage female gymnasts have no problems with random testing) and fight.
