Mayweather ducks a 90 day jail stint till June 1st

As reported minutes ago by TMZ super star boxer Floyd Mayweather had his 90 day jail sentence postponed till June 1st 2012. Mayweather who was supposed to turn himself in to start serving his stint today was in court earlier this morning. He was sentenced to serve 90 days for beating up his baby’s mama. Attorneys for undefeated American boxer argued in court that his upcoming May 5th showdown at the MGM Grand Garden Arena against an opponent to be determined at a later date will generate a lot of money for the city of Las Vegas.

The courtroom was crowded to see what would happen this morning. Among Floyd’s supporters were celebrities Ray J and Lil Kim. The judge ruled to give Floyd an extension on serving sentence till June 1st, 2012.

As illusive in a court of law as he is in the ring, undefeated star gets to fight another day, May 5th 2012. Would Manny Pacquiao be his opponent? Stay tuned.
