Floyd Mayweather, Jr. - "I'm in the game to win; not just inside the ring, but outside the ring, and my health is more important than anything."

Bob Costas - "When you say 'your health', if the deal can be made financially, are you implying you have something to fear from Pacquiao?"

In what may be the most truthful and revealing interview to date regarding Floyd Mayweather, Jr.'s reasoning behind failed negotiations to fight Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, renowned sports broadcaster Bob Costas was able to open up the undefeated boxing star on his show on NBC, "Costas Tonight".

Mayweather insisted on why he will never fight Pacquiao on a 50/50 revenue split, not even the 45-45 split and winner takes the remaining 10 that Pacquiao offered. Mayweather said he is fine without facing Pacquiao, regardless of the fan clamor and the historical implications, and that he had done so much for the sport for him to get less than what he wants.

He also touched on other topics like his upcoming fight against Miguel Cotto, his comments on New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin, and said his father is jealous of him, among other things.
