As many as seven Parks and Recreation Centers will accommodate applicants beginning Saturday March 1, 2014 for healthcare enrollment.

These centers will host "super" enrollment assistance for coverage in ACA/ Obamacare throughout Tampa. More than ten navigators will be on hand at each center.

Mayor Buckhorn announced Tuesday that the City of Tampa has had an ongoing effort in assisting The Department of Health and Human Services in enrolling residents for affordable healthcare coverage.

The Mayor said, "With over 90,000 citizens of Tampa without healthcare, this is an economic and quality of life issue for our friends, neighbors and family members. All of us pay when an uninsured person walks into an emergency room with a chronic illness that could have been treated earlier and cheaper."

According to the healthcare cost calculator of OFA, nearly six out of ten uninsured Americans can get coverage for less than $100 per month. In addition to the affordable cost, many applicants are eligible for financial assistance. Although no program private or public will accommodate every citizen to perfection, the opportunity now exist to explore affordable and quality healthcare for American citizens.
