Neo-soul singer, producer, DJ, rapper and multi-instrumentalist, responsible for the singles "Just Ain't Gonna Work Out" (2008), "Her Favorite Song" off his album released this year and his recent feature on rising rap-artist, Kendrick Lamar's, "Crime", Mayer Hawthorrne will be bringing in 2014 with over a dozen shows for his US portion of Where Does This Door Go Tour, along with special guests, Quadron, who performed this summer at SummerStage. Hawthorne will be bringing his tour to New York for two days only, at Webster Hall on February 27th and in Brooklyn at Warsaw on February 28th.

In spirit of his tour, Hawthorne is also giving his fans the opportunity and has created a contest open for all the creatives to design a soulful, creative tour poster inspired by the album's title "Where Does This Door Go." It is encouraged that all who submit entries keep in mind with experimenting with these ideas when illustrating your poster:

Mayer's motto is "flashy but classy". While his sound incorporates vintage/retro elements, he is very conscious about moving the art forward and striving for timelessness.

Deadline to enter the contest is January 5th and the winner will receive a cash prize of $500. For more information on the contest visit, here.
