Maya Rudolph not likely to play Whitney Houston during 'SNL' appearance

New York, NY – 'Saturday Night Live' alumnus Maya Rudolph is hosting tonight's show, leaving many to ponder whether she will impersonate Whitney Houston, whose untimely death occurred only a week ago. According to a show insider, she will not do an incarnation of Whitney, but instead will play another famous diva.

The New York Daily News was told by the source – who allegedly watched a rehearsal of the show's skits on Friday – that Maya will transform herself into new mother Beyonce.

Whitney, 48, was found submerged in the bathtub of her guest room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the eve of the 54th Grammy Awards, Feb. 11, 2012. She was pronounced dead at about 4:00 p.m. Although her autopsy was completed the next day, the coroner announced toxicology results could take four to six weeks to obtain – thus, no cause of death has yet been revealed.
