May 20, 2014, all day, the store will be donating 5% of the store's sales to benefit the PB&J Project. Shop any Whole Foods Market in Broward or Palm Beach on May 20th as 5% of the day’s net sales will be donated to The PB&J Project. This new project, developed by Ryan, a 12-year-old customer, specifically works to support The Pantry of Broward County to collect peanut butter and jelly. According to Ryan, “Raising money for peanut butter and jelly is really important for these children. Peanut butter and jelly can be used as a daily meal and provide enough nutrition to raise healthy children. Over the past six months, I have been busy baking cookies and making lemonade to sell in front of my house in order to raise money. I look at this as turning lemons into lemonade and into PB&J.” The Pantry of Broward County serves seniors in need on low fixed incomes and grandparents raising their grandchildren throughout Broward County.

May 20, 2014, 12PM to 3PM, the Palm Beach Gardens store will add to the 5% donations mentioned above with their Pop Up Cart featuring peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for $2 each or $6 for the Works. The Works can include bananas, strawberries, potato chips, melting marshmellows, cocoa crisp cereal - whatever you can think of. Plus, the money goes to help the PB&J Project.
