May Events in DeKalb County

During the month of May, residents of DeKalb County can enjoy a variety of events.

May 6 until May 16: Theatre buffs should check out the Stage Coach Players' production of Neil Simon's Rumors. The Stage Coach Theatre is located in DeKalb at 126 South 5th Street. For more information, please visit www.stagecoachers.com or call 815-758-1940.

May 8: Volunteers are needed for Sycamore Park District's Park Pride Day from 9 AM until 12 PM. Volunteers will be provided a complimentary lunch and T-shirt. For more details, please call 815-895-3202 or email Bart Desch (bartd@sycamoreparkdistrict.com).

May 16: The Joseph F. Glidden Homestead and Historical Center will be hosting an Open House/ Open Barn from 12 PM until 4 PM. This is the only chance that the barn is open for tours all year. The Center is located in DeKalb at 921 West Lincoln Highway.

May 23: Genoa Main Street's Open Air Market re-opens on this day. The Market is held in the Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Main and Genoa Streets. People can purchase produce, crafts, flea market finds, and more from 9 AM until 2 PM. Rental space is available. For more information, call 815-784-6961.
