Kristen Bell is back as the amateur sleuth Veronica Mars in the new movie Veronica Mars funded by a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign. Directed, co-written and produced by Rob Thomas, series star Bell leads a sizable returning cast from the television series of the same name including Jason Dohring, Krysten Ritter, Ryan Hansen, Francis Capra, Percy Daggs III, Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino, Enrico Colantoni, Sam Huntington, Ken Marino, Amanda Noret, Daran Norris, Max Greenfield, Duane Daniels, Julie Gonzalo and Kyle Secor. The feature-length adaptation of the popular WB-CW TV show, which ran from 2004 - 2007, was a labor of love made possible by the outpouring of support from fans for the Kickstarter campaign launched by Thomas and Bell -- raising over $5.7 million from more than 91,000 people.

Veronica Mars takes place nine years after the events of Season 3. On the eve of graduating law school, Veronica Mars has put Neptune and her amateur sleuthing days behind her. While interviewing at high-end New York law firms, Veronica Mars gets a call from her old flame Logan, now a U.S. Navy lieutenant, who has been accused of murdering his pop-star girlfriend. Veronica heads back to her hometown -- just in time for her ten-year high school reunion -- to help Logan find an attorney. But when she discovers the town’s new sheriff is corrupted and things do not seem right with how Logan's case is perceived and handled, Veronica finds herself being pulled back into a dangerous life she thought she had left behind. Ultimately, she is forced to choose between the new life waiting for her and the old life that she cannot somehow truly walk away from.

The DVD and Blu-ray include a making-of featurette. Exclusive to Blu-ray are deleted scenes, a gag reel and more on-set fun with the Veronica Mars cast.
