Maxwell readies for Summer Soulstice Tour with CT as one of his stops

Yesterday April 21 R&B "Pretty Wings" singer Maxwell announced that he is gearing up for his 35-date Summer Soulstice Tour according to radio.com.

The tour is scheduled to kick off on June 14 in in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and continue through Aug. 17 with the conclusion of the tour in Albuquerque, N.M. CT residents will be happy to know that included in the 35 date tour is a stop in Mashentucket, CT at Foxwoods Resort Casino on July 11.

The announcement was made via twitter that in addition to the tour, an album is finally in the works after a five year hiatus. The Grammy award winner tweeted:

"second leg of the tour will have the album i haven't forgotten you you never forget me but will you forgive me #badhabits #summersoulstice 💣"

Maxwell's last album 'BLACKSummers'night' was realeased on July 7, 2009 and on the 5 year week's anniversary of that album, CT fans will have the opportunity to see the man himself live on stage singing the melodies that took the album to the number one spot on Billboard 200 within it's first week. "Fistful of Tears", "Bad Habits", and "Pretty Wings" are just a few of the known hits released from the smooth soulful singer.

If you can't wait for the concert or his new music ThisisRnb reports that fans can hear the singer on J. Lo’s new track “I Wanna Love” off her upcoming album due out June 17.
