The entertainers will perform at Club Amazura in New York City on March 15, 2013. As the Five Borough Tour grows in popularity, reggae music is shaping its place in this urban music concert.
Mavado, who is signed to DJ Khalid’s We The Best Group, has a very good relationship with the urban music market in New York City. Mavado and his connections to high profile members in the hip-hop community; could explain how he gets noticed by American media entities, such as HOT 97. Mavado’s music remains relevant through his work in the reggae and hip-hop music mixtape scene.
The Five Borough Take Over will also feature Massive B. This radio personality is the driving force for reggae and dancehall music on HOT 97. He is included on the concert line-up and he will perform this Friday at the Five Borough Take Over Tour. Besides Mavado and Massive B, the Five Borough Take Over Tour will also feature dancehall superstar Konshens.
Konshens has earned himself the crossover success that rivals Movado and any other reggae musician. In the press and in the blogs, people seem to have doubted his talent. The entertainer, however, has proven himself a music contender and not a one hit wonder after putting out more music.
