According to a recent article by Travel and Leisure magazine, Maui is the 7th most romantic island on their list of The 10 Most Romantic Islands in the world. The Hawaiian island of Kauai was number four on their January, 2013 list.

Of course, Bora Bora in French Polynesia was the number one island for romance in the world. It's held that prestigious spot for many years on many different island lists. Capri in Italy and Santorini in Greece were number two and number three respectfully.
Maui is known for its diverse landscape, road to the quaint town of Hana, excellent snorkeling, and spectacular beaches. It's also consistently one of the top wedding and honeymoon locations in the world, and numerous movies have been made on the island.
