Maturango Museum Spring Events

The Maturango Museum located in Ridgecrest, Ca has posted their calendar of events to their website. The Museum features art exhibits, field trips, and tours of the Petroglyphs, which are located on Federal land therefore a need for documentation will be required before taking a tour. The information about up coming events is posted on the website, covering January thru May 31, 2013. Free admissions to the museum are on the second Saturday of each month, with some exceptions due to special events there.

The next reception for artist Linda Fillhardt will be held on March 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. her art features encaustic painting. All receptions are FREE and open to the public. Field trips begin later in March and all the forms and instructions for the Petroglyph tours can be found by going to the website: www.maturango.com

The best time to come to this area is from now to early May. The heat rises in Death Valley after that so if a trip there is in your plans take it as early as possible, and be sure to visit the Maturango Museum.
