The evening belonged to America in Washington, DC. The 30th anniversary of A Capitol Fourth had two Broadway performers take the stage for a special moment on Monday. Matthew Morrison and Kelli O’Hara teamed up for a music performance only steps from the Capitol of the United States. In addition to musical performances, the fireworks of Fourth of July lit up the sky.
With a perfect backdrop, the two shared a moment with America as she sang for the country. In what was one of the most anticipated performances of the evening, Matthew Morrison has thousands of Glee fans watching to see him perform on a whole new level.
A Capitol Fourth was seen on PBS for the celebration of Fourth of July. Considered one of the biggest shows of the holiday, thousands of people watch. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the program, Jimmy Smits once again took on hosting the time honored tradition and shared patriotic moments with those who came to celebrate America’s Independence.
Matthew Morrison isn’t heading back to Glee quite yet, as he will be on tour Wednesday with the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys tour for the next several weeks.
