Matthew McConaughey inspires viewers with shocking Golden Globes speech (video)

Matthew McConaughey had the fans delighted with his win at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. The entertainer picked up one of the last awards of the night and his film Dallas Buyers Club had many fans thinking about going back to the theaters to see it again. However, when viewers heard the actor talk about his journey with the film it was inspiring to anyone who had a dream of getting something remarkable done.

Dallas Buyer’s Club wasn't an easy sell. Not only did the movie have trouble getting studio support, it failed a number of times before it was seen in the studio. McConaughey talked about his perseverance to make the film come to life.

“Turned down 86 times, nobody wanted it,” said Matthew McConaughey. “We put the right people together and here it is.” Not only did he share his hard work on the project, he reminded everyone that they needed to go out and find their own success even when things looked tough.

Matthew McConaughey’s inspiring speech had everyone examining their own projects. Would most folks be willing to continue a project after it was rejected so many times? Perhaps not, but as Matthew McConaughey pointed out it persistence does make a difference.
