Matthew McConaughey married his partner of six years, Camila Alves, over the weekend. The couple have two kids together: Levi, who is nearly 4-years-old, and 2 1/2-year-old Vida.
Celebrity guests included Woody Harrelson, Reese Witherspoon, Jim Toth, Meg Ryan, and John Cougar Mellencamp, who sang during the ceremony. The wedding was very intimate according to Us Weekly, with Matthew and Camila whispering their vows.
“No one knew what they said,” a source told the magazine. “Whatever they said was very emotional. [Camila] was tearing up.”
The ceremony and reception took place in Austin, with guests staying over in tents pitched on the McConaughey-Alves property. (No worries about the Texas heat. The tents were air conditioned!) In keeping with the down-home theme, guests who were still there on Sunday were treated to a proper Southern meal from celebrity chef Guy Fieri including crawfish, brisket, and fried okra.
Despite the festivities, life probably won't change much for the Texan actor and his Brazilian wife. Camila said in a March interview, "We have homes together, we have family together, we have kids. We’ve built a life together."
Matthew has a new movie out on June 29, "Magic Mike", also starring Channing Tatum ("Haywire," "The Vow"), Alex Pettyfer ( "I Am Number Four"), Cody Horn (TV's "Rescue Me"), Olivia Munn ("I Don't Know How She Does It"), Matt Bomer (TV's "White Collar"), Riley Keough ("The Runaways"), and Joe Manganiello (TV's "True Blood").
