Yesterday, the DKNY New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 presentation took place. The events going on backstage were almost as interesting as the main stage fashion show.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the behind the scenes beauty preps consisted of personalized hairstyles, various Maybelline makeup looks and three nail looks. All of the beauty looks accentuated the presented DKNY fashions.
Michelle Saunders used a range of Essie nail polishes to create the nails. All of them were stylish, simple, subtle and matte-finished. She used neutral colors, like grey, white and sheer pink for the nail designs.
The first nail look incorporated a combination of grey, pink and white polishes to create trendy inverted French manicures. The other two were solid colored nail looks. One was a simple white manicure and the other, light pink. Matte finishes added interest to all three of these looks.
All three of these designs were topped off with Essie’s Matte About You. A matte top coat can instantly add interest to an ordinary manicure.
