Matt Kenseth will have two drivers on stand-by for the NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in Fontana, California next weekend. Kenseth and his wife are expecting their third daughter in about two weeks. Sam Hornish Jr., would drive the No. 20 Nationwide Series entry and Jeff Burton would drive his No. 20 Sprint Cup Series entry if Kenseth has to leave.
Sam Hornish is set to drive the No. 54 Monster Energy Camry for seven races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the seven races that Kyle Busch will not participate in. Jeff Burton is running select Sprint Cup Series races for Michael Waltrip Racing.
