It was reported today, Sunday, that Coach Dennis Allen addressed the press, after the Oakland Raiders’ practice, stating that Matt Flynn will be resting for the last week of the NFL preseason due to a sore arm.
The Raiders are scheduled to play the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday for the last preseason game, and the starting quarterback will be Terrelle Pryor. Is is this going to be another replay for Flynn?
So far in the preseason, Matt Flynn has not produced impressive numbers for the Oakland Raiders, as he was hired to be the starting quarterback.
However, the hype has it that Terrelle Pryor is leading the charge with better preseason performance and having a better vibe.
In the last two games, Pryor brought the Raiders to life after being down by 23 or so points. In those two games, Flynn was the starter and did not produce any impressive numbers. Additionally, the Raiders’ defense faltering as well.
Anyway, the big story with the Seahawks last year was Russell Wilson outperforming Matt Flynn and taking the starting position.
Flynn might go through the same thing with the Oakland Raiders by losing his starting position to Pryor. This speculation will most likely depend on Pryor's performance on Thursday against the Seahawks.
