A matchup between two of the most exciting fighters in the welterweight division is set for the main event at UFC Fight Night 40 in Cincinnati.

Matt Brown will take on Erick Silva in a five round fight at the US Bank Arena on May 10. The main card will air live on FOX Sports 1.

The story was first reported on Monday by Damon Martin of Fox Sports and has since been confirmed with UFC officials.

Brown has been out of action since August after suffering a back injury prior to his scheduled fight with Carlos Condit. The Xenia, Ohio native is currently riding a six-fight win streak in which he has finished five of his six wins by KO.

Silva is coming off an impressive first round KO win over Takenori Sato in February. The Brazilian has alternated wins and losses in the UFC but has finished his opponent in the first round in every one of his UFC wins.

Both fighters have a combined 29 wins by finish and both are coming off wins in which they received a post fight bonus for their first round KO win.

Tickets for the event will go on sale March 21 at 10 a.m. ET.
