Actor Matt Bomer of White Collar, a Houston native, has long be rumored to be gay. He's mentioned his children with partner Simon Halls before, but it was at the recent Desert AIDS Project gala in Palm Springs that he finally spelled it out for anyone who wasn't quite understanding, according to E! Online.
"I'd really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry," Bomer said during the gala at the Palm Springs Convention Center. "Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment. God bless you."
The thank you to his family happened when Bomer was accepting the New Generation Arts & Activism award for his work in fighting AIDS.
He's getting ready for a role as a gay journalist with HIV in the upcoming Ryan Murphy film The Normal Heart and he's got an upcoming appearance on Murphy's hit show Glee.
It was just about two years ago that Bomer was asked about the gay rumors by during an interview with Details magazine. He neither confirmed nor denied them, but instead said that he was "happy and fulfilled" in his personal life, which seems to still be the case today.
