The United States Postal Service have announced that they will issue a stamp honoring Harvey Milk, America's first openly gay politician.
Naturally, Liberty Counsel's Matt Barber, who once blamed Satan for President Obama's gay rights efforts, is furious, deriding the assassinated activist as a "demonstrably, categorically an evil man."
"Harvey Milk was known as a pederast," said Barber. "That's a man who in his mid-30s had a sexual appetite for teenage boys as young as 15 years old."
"Harvey Milk was demonstrably, categorically an evil man based on his rape of teenage boys," he concluded. "And the fact that our U.S. government would be commemorating and recognizing him as some kind of hero really just boggles the mind."
Barber claimed that his allegations have been confirmed by victims who stepped forward, apparently in the shallow hopes that nobody would actually do any research to see if there were any weight to his claims.
Not surprisingly, there are not. The closest thing to any substantiation available is the fact that Jack McKinley, with whom Milk had a relationship with, was sixteen years old when they met, though none of the fundamentalist infotainment sources who cite this as evidence mention that McKinley was eighteen when he and Milk first traveled as a couple to California.
Were Harvey Milk still alive, he could now sue Matt Barber for defamation.
