Matisyahu is an American Hasidic Jewish reggae musician from West Chester, Pennsylvania who is known for blending traditional Jewish themes with reggae, rock and hip-hop beat-boxing sounds. He has released three studio albums and three live albums since his debut in 2004.

His real name is Matthew Paul Miller; his stage name is an Ashkenazic Hebrew pronunciation of Matthew.

On Thursday, September 22nd 2011 Matisyahu will be speaking at Weber State University in the Union Ballrooms at 12:00 noon. This event is free for students with a WildCard and $5 for the public. Wristbands will be available at Shepherd Union Info Desk on September 14th.

Weber State University is located at 3848 Harrison Blvd in Ogden, Utah. The Union Ballrooms are in the Shepherd Union building on the 3rd floor. For a map of the school, click here.
