One thing I love about this job is that everyday I am learning about up and coming brands. These companies are the taste makers who are continually evolving and growing to accommodate their clients unique need and wants.
I see that in Matisse Footwear, a brand that has recently jumped on my radar after their recent website launch. This new bit of re-branding work (of which I love and appreciate from a PR perspective) has made them a force to be reckoned with. Their new modern and edgy look -- fully integrated in all social media platforms shows that they are ahead of the curve in the realm of footwear for today's young woman!
This past week, I was lucky enough to try two pairs of sandals from their 2013 collection:
- The Marcus ($100)
- The Palace ($90)
Today -- despite the weather I couldn't resist putting on the Marcus. They are perfection! The leather upper paired with the modern metallic strap by my toes gives a chic look that is perfect for day to day wear. I am 5'8'' so this a blessing to have found a fashionable flat that still give me that dressed up feeling.
The Palace on the other hand is exactly what it sounds like. Mirroring all things luxurious, this wedge has the perfect amount of glitz and sparkle. My newly polished toes are dancing happy in this choice. As a PR girl by day, I am always on the go! Business meetings in the morning straight to client events at night -- and it is hard to make a costume change in between. So although these shoes air on the dressy side, they were a great practical choice for me -- allowing me to feel comfortable yet dressed up no matter where my day takes me. Style available in copper or silver.
