Maternity hotel shut down in Chino

Here is one to think about. As bad as our economy seems and as many complaints as we all seem to have about our United States of America, many only dream that their children could have the opportunity to be born here.

Residing temporarily in Chino, young mothers from China, were among the many who were attempting to make the American dream for their baby. Paying large sums to stay their with their babies, according to the L.A. times.

Coming to the United States to have a baby, so that child can reap the benefits of U.S. citizenship is legal.

Taking a mansion home and making it into a hotel in a residential area isn't.

Furthermore, adding bedrooms and bathrooms without permits is a no-no. Not only is it unsafe for the inhabitants, it also can jeopardize those close by in neighboring homes.

Taking a seven bedroom house with just a few bathrooms and making it into a seventeen bedroom and seventeen bathroom hotel can create issues- dangerous and unhealthy ones.

Understandably, septic back up was noticed by neighbors, stinky and unhealthy.

Electricity was rigged to meet the needs for more tenants thus a potential fire hazard. It could have been devastating. Fires know nothing about property borders. Let alone considering the welfare of these pregnant ladies and their unborn babies.

Neighbors were in an uproar when they realized the noise from people going in and out was even a greater problem than that.

As this was a quiet residential area, neighbors wanted just that, safety for themselves and their families.

Were the owners, creators of the home, make shift hotel, attempting to help these young women or were they just selfishly looking out for themselves attempting to make a buck?

Count your blessings as you are about to birth your child in a country that offers opportunities, many only dream about.

Having a baby this 2013? Come on America we can become a strong country again. Raise your child with that thought in mind.
