Pop rockers Matchbox Twenty will bring their "North" American Tour 2013 to the Des Moines Civic Center (221 Walnut Street) on February 10. Opening for Matchbox Twenty will be Phillip Phillips. The concert is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the concert are $49.50 to $85 (plus fees), and they may be purchased online through Ticketmaster or at the Civic center box office. This concert is open to anyone over five years of age.

Orlando, Florida's Matchbox Twenty burst on the scene in 1996, when their full length debut album, Yourself or Someone Like You, sold over 35 million copies worldwide. The album topped out at #5 in the United States, stayed on the charts for parts of three years, and produced four Top 10 singles, "Push", "3 a.m.", "Real World", and "Back to Good". The album also produced a Grammy Award nomination, an American Music award nomination, and two MTV Music Award nominations for the band.

Matchbox Twenty has not let up since. The band's fourth full-length album, North, came out in September of last year. North topped the charts in America and Australia, and has already produced the hits "She's So Mean" (featured in the nearby video) and "Overjoyed". Check them out on Sunday—it should be a great show.
