It was announced on March 18 that Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls will co-headline a major North American summer tour in 2013. Both artists have inundated the pop rock charts over the past two decades and seem to be a perfect fit. The tour will circle the U.S., beginning in Manchester, N.H. on June 25 and will conclude in Mansfield, Mass. on August 18.

Matchbox Twenty is currently finishing up their sold-out U.S. tour, having packed the Riverside Theater [review] in Milwaukee last month. They are touring on "North," their 2012 release that debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. Three shows are slated for the area--two at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Ill. on July 2 and 3; and a show at i Wireless Center in Moline, Ill. on July 10.
Goo Goo Dolls are currently putting the finishing touches on new music. "Magnetic" is scheduled to for release on May 7, with pre-orders being taken now. They last performed in Milwaukee at the Pabst Theatre [review] in late 2011, near the end of their lengthy "Something for the Rest of Us" tour.
Ticket pre-sale codes will be available to Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls fan club members beginning on March 20. Public ticket sales for select dates will begin on March 23. Some premium seats will be allocated via Tickets for Charity to benefit City of Hope.
