The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, CA is preparing a much-anticipated follow up to September’s inaugural event and will again celebrate “Masters of Food and Wine,” a series of seasonal, locally-inspired events across Park Hyatt hotels globally. On January 21, the Resort will welcome guests and the local community for an educational tasting with Brandt Beef; a premium natural beef purveyor in nearby Brawley, CA. Park Hyatt Aviara’s second Masters Event will take place at their award-winning Argyle Steakhouse, with a menu prepared by Chef Kurtis Habecker.
Through an evening of contemporary steakhouse specialties and engaging dialogue, the dinner will celebrate beef in all its forms and educate guests on the “farm to fork” movement in sustainable ranching. The cocktail hour will present an array of passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a four-course dinner–each highlighting a different select cut of beef.
Brandt Beef has been family-owned since 1945 and adheres to a sustainable philosophy that involves raising its animals humanely and naturally without hormones or the use of antibiotics. Brandt is the only beef producer, to date, to receive the esteemed Master Chef’s Institute Seal of Excellence, for its commitment to producing a superior culinary product.
Menu highlights include: Skirt Tataki, with Crispy Rice, Ginger Infused Daikon, Soy, Wasabi Tobiko; Marrow Bone with Roasted Garlic, Salsa Verde “Salad”, Grilled Bread; Tenderloin Carpaccio with Tartare Flavors, Arugula, Crispy Potato, Dry Jack Cheese; Eye of the Rib Eye with Argyle Steak Sauce; and Beef Fat Confit Fingerling Potatoes
Park Hyatt Aviara Resort’s “Masters of Food & Wine” dinner with Brandt Beef is priced at $85 per person and includes a cocktail reception, dinner and discussion. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner seating at 7:00 p.m. Reservations are limited and may be made by calling (760) 448-1234 ext. 5056.
