Calling all Arvada gardeners, Saturday, the place to be is the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. The Master Gardeners from Colorado State University Extension Services are providing a series of workshops. The Spring Gardening 2012 Symposium is on Vegetable Gardening from A - Z: Hitting the Basics. It is designed for beginner through intermediate skill levels in gardening.
Learn about Garden Planning, soil amendments, growing your garden from seeds or transplants. Seminars on vegetable garden basics, irrigation, container gardens, growing tomatoes, and vegetable gardening in the mountains will be offered as well. As we all know, flowers are an important part of any garden and there will be a session on them too. It is not too early to think about your garden and what you want to grow.
January 28, 2012 from 9 AM until 4 PM these programs will be offered by Master Gardeners who are volunteering for Jefferson County. This means that these experienced gardeners live and garden here. They have struggled with the same soil, disease, and insect problems that you have, here in Arvada. This is an unequalled opportunity to talk to the experts.
Bring photos of the issues you had with your plants last season for their opinions. Learn how to grow the healthiest produce in the county. Gardening does not need to be difficult. It does not need a lot of land to get started, just the desire to do so.

See you Saturday January 28th at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 W 6th Ave Golden, CO.
