MasterChef Junior is on a nationwide search for kids between the ages of 8 and 13 who love to cook for season 2 of the FOX TV show. The winner will receive a large cash prize and bragging rights.

The series gives budding cooks the opportunity to showcase their talent through a series of challenges and cookoffs. Chefs Gordon Ramsay, Chicago's own Graham Elliot, and restaurateur and winemaker Joe Bastianich (Del Posto, Eataly) will coach and encourage the cheftestants to cook like pros and teach them the tricks of the trade along the way.

After a nationwide search, 24 lucky junior home cooks will create their best dish and present it to the judges in the audition round. Those who impress the judges will continue in the competition, during which they will face challenges until one talented kid wins the honor of being America's MasterChef Junior.

Auditions will be held 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Chicago Hyatt Mag Mile, 633 N St Clair St., Chicago. Here is more information on how to register either for a live audition or by video. The video submission deadline is 5 p.m. PST Jan. 24.
