Master Biomancer is one of the newest "Magic: The Gathering" cards spoiled today Jan. 18, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert expansion set "Gatecrash." Revealed in an article by Dave Humphreys on MagicTheGathering.com, Master Biomancer makes every creature you play after it into a deadlier threat.
Master Biomancer - 2GU
Creature - Elf Wizard (Mythic Rare)
Each other creature you control enters the battlefield with a number of additional +1/+1 counters on it equal to Master Biomancer's power and as a Mutant in addition to its other types.
"Nature is a wonderful engineer but works far too slowly for my tastes."

While you could opt to simply Rancor Master Biomancer and let your creatures just become bigger, there's a few fun things you can do thanks to its use of +1/+1 counters.
Want to draw a massive amount of cards? Follow up a third turn Master Biomancer (curtesy of Farseek or a mana dork) with Thragtusk or Wolfir Silverheart, then play Prime Speaker Zegana. Because both Master Biomancer and Prime Speaker Zegana share the creature type Wizard, Cavern of Souls will ensure your opponent can't counter either with Mystic Genesis.
You'll also be able to draw cards when Fathom Mage enters the battlefield and remove counters from your creatures with Zameck Guildmage to draw even more cards. A tricky player might move counters around via Simic Fluxmage to steal an opponent's threats with Simic Manipulator.
Predator Ooze loves to be around Master Biomancer. Speaking about Ooze, another idea is to create large creatures with Ooze Flux, then cast Miming Slime to get an even larger threat. Corpsejack Menace just begs to be played alongside Master Biomancer too.
With all these large creatures entering the battlefield, Gyre Sage will be able to create a ton of mana. Why hello Biomass Mutation.
How will you use Master Biomancer?
