There are three media events occurring that could be of interest to people with disabilities (PWD) Two are occurring on Friday. The first is spotlight on Fit Together, a local Pioneer Valley gym, which mainly focuses on fitness for PWD. This will occur on the program was Massappeal, which starts at 11 AM on WWLP.
The next opportunity will be at 3:30 PM when Phil Paleologos .of 1420 AM radio interviews current Ms. Wheelchair Massachusetts Patti Panzarino. Panzarino will discuss, among other items, the new Little Miss Wheelchair Massachusetts 2013 open nominations which are happening now. Finally, PWD will have the opportunity to actually make media by submitting an original blog post to the Arise for Social Justice blog. There is no deadline. According to the director, Michaelann Bewsee, “Any good article about a timely issue is fine.” Interested parties should note that there is no deadline for this project, but no writers will be paid.
