Following up the stellar trilogy that was Mass Effect is certainly no easy task for the teams at BioWare. From the great locales, personalities, and more, the series just knocked it out of the park. With another installment in the franchise in development, sometimes we get tidbits of information out of developers in their sprint review meetings. Today, some comments came from producer Mike Gamble.
"Currently in a @masseffect sprint review," Gamble said via Twitter. "Some phenomenal work from all teams, but these character turnarounds are making my jaw drop."
For those who are unaware, character turnarounds are a part of the concept phase where artists draw the character from the front, side, and back alongside a fully colored version.
We are glad to hear that things are coming along well. One of the most important aspects of the original trilogy was the unique set of characters and how identifiable each and every one of them was. While we don't know when the next game is taking place, we do know that Commander Shepard is finished and will no longer be a featured or prominent character. Here's to hoping some of our other favorites will return in some capacity.
