"Mass Effect 4" or whatever people want to call it is currently under development at BioWare, but the game did not make an appearance at yesterday's PS4 event, where many, many games were unveiled for the world to see.
Yesterday's PlayStation 4 event saw the reveal of more than a handful of games, but surprisingly, EA and "Mass Effect 4" were nowhere to be seen at this event.
Now given the fact that most of the games being shown off were from first party Sony developers, there was still time for third party publishers and developers to get their two cents in before things ended.
Activision, Capcom, Blizzard and Ubisoft were all third party publishers that had the time to reveal a game of their choice, but EA stayed quiet.
Now that the dust has settled from the event, it was a bit odd not seeing EA there because of how much they have talked about their desire for next-generation consoles.
One may have thought that event would've been one they would have wanted to make sure they were in attendance for.
In the end, "Mass Effect 4" is probably nowhere close to being where it needs to be from a development standpoint, and the game will most likely see a reveal at this March's PAX East 2013 or at E3 2013.
Either way though, it was a bit odd to not see EA and one of their next-generation titles in attendance for the event.
