Tuesday, March 5, Bioware will release the latest, and last, installment of single-player "Mass Effect 3" DLC, "Mass Effect 3: Citadel." Hinted at earlier this year through tweets by producers Casey Hudson and Michael Gamble, the downloadable content will feature previously unexplored sections of the game's massive Citadel space station.
The DLC is the game's largest to date, and while PC and PS3 users will only have to download one file, Xbox 360 users will have to download two separate files to compensate for the unprecedented size. Xbox gamers needn't fear, however, as the entire DLC package will come at one rate, the files being the only thing divided.
This being the last installment of single-player DLC for the game, and thus the series, the content has been surrounded with considerable hype since it was first hinted at last December. With reports that Commander Shepard will be able to explore the content with character from each installment of the series, coupled with hints at a high potential for tears from series composer Sam Hulick, this promises to be an emotional, nostalgic last hurrah for a series so acclaimed, yet marred with for many an unsatisfactory ending.
"Mass Effect 3: Citadel" will be released March 5 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC, for $14.99 or 1200MS Points.
