What began as a single report of 4,000 birds falling from the sky in Arkansas this week, now has the earmarks of a global phenomenon.
Since New Year’s Eve, about 5 ,000 birds have fallen from the sky in three U.S. states and Sweden, while millions of fish have washed up dead around the world.
While experts are scoffing at claims that secret testing by the government has caused the deaths and an alien spaceship could have been responsible, the possibility that the events are indicative of the end times is catching on.
The end times theory started spreading rapidly Monday, Jan. 3, as Christians around the world began linking bird and fish kills to what it prophesied in the Holy Bible.
According to believers, incidents like bird and fish deaths are going to occur before and during what is known as the Great Tribulation.
During that period, Christ followers claim, God will usher mankind into a three-and-a-half-year period of war, famine, natural disasters and an evil political front led by the Antichrist.
The period is said to come to an end when Jesus Christ returns to Earth during the battle of Armageddon.
As of Tuesday, Jan. 4, Web searches relating to the end times and dead fish and birds were entered by the millions.
Scholars contend that the Bible, particularly the book of Revelation, does contain prophetic code. Although soothsayers have used the code to predict linking catastrophic events, an exact date or time when tribulation will occur has not been pinpointed.
“There has not been a generation that has not cried, ‘The end is near,’” George Washington University Professor Paul Duff told the L.A. Times, noting that many significant events have taken place since the Bible was written.
Some Christian ministers have predicted that the Great Tribulation--and the return of Jesus Christ--would occur on certain dates. Thus far, each has been incorrect.
Most recently, Harold Camping, who heads the Christian radio network, Family Stations, Inc., claimed Judgment Day will happen May 21, 2011. Thousands are taking Camping up on his word.
However, Camping predicted in 1992 that Jesus would return in 1994, which didn’t occur.
Also gaining a large following is Ronald Weinland, a former Worldwide Church of God pastor who currently heads The Church of God--PKG.
Weinland predicted in his latest book, 2008- God’s Final Witness, that the United States would fall that year and that the Great Tribulation would occur shortly after.
When Weinland’s predictions didn’t come to pass, he kept preaching and re-calculating when Christ will return to Earth. Today, Weinland says that day is May 27, 2012.
Weinland also claims he and his wife are the two end time witnesses spoke of in the book of Revelation.
Those witnesses, according to the Bible, will be killed in the streets of Jerusalem and risen from the dead when Jesus returns.
Meantime, 40,000 velvet crabs washed ashore in England Thursday, Jan. 6, leading many to re-examine claims made by Camping, Weinland and others.
While some believers will seek infinite proof from preachers, others simply rely on what’s written in the Bible.
“Nobody knows when the tribulation will start,” A Christian named Ginny said. “According to what I read and what I have always come to know, is that Jesus Christ, himself, doesn’t even know the exact date and time. Jesus tells us to look for signs and look for the ‘season.’
“Are we in that season today? We could be. But that’s not for man to figure out. We, as believers, are to watch for signs. These bird and fish incidents are looking more and more like signs as time moves on here, but we can’t try to to tie them to exact time periods.”

There have been many people who have claimed to be Christians and have stated that they knew the exact date of Christ's return. The Bible says that only the Father knows the exact date and time. We believers are to know the season. The Bible tells us that we will know the time is near when we see certain signs all happening at the same time.
There is a difference--and has been throughout history--between Christians and FCPs (Freakin' Church People). Blame the wrongs on them, not Christ's true disciples.
You are right Brandon. We are to WATCH. We should know the times, but date setting is wrong. But Jesus said we can discern the face of the sky, and we should know the times and seasons. There are many signs. Jesus likened them to birth pangs. That the signs would speed up and get more intense the closer we get to Jesus coming. Look at everything going on in our country, and all over the world. There is NO leadership. The world is ripe for the anti christ to take over, and the rapture of the church to happen. Jesus can come back at any time. It is not hard to see what the world will say when that happens....."aliens"or some other such nonsense. But all the things happening, the joke in the White House and all his henchmen....Media that doesn't tell the truth, everyone turning on Isreal, signs of the times. But as Christians we don't have to worry. In the end Jesus wins, God wins everytime. He loves us enough to tell us the truth. One other sign is people preaching a false gospel.... The rapture will come as a thief in the night...but Jesus said we are to watch the times and the signs and be ready...that means we will be ABLE to discern the times.
Do you even know your theology??? The tribulation is 7 years and starts at the signing of a 7 year peace treaty with Israel. After 31/2 years the antichrist is killed only to be resurrected and the two witnesses are killed by him after 31/2 years then are called up to Heaven with a loud voice saying "COMEUP HERE" (they are dead for 3 days and left on the street to decay when they are resurrected) Just before the seven last years, Israel will be in peace talks, they will find oil or gas which will bring them much wealth and Russia, Iran, Turkey and other countries(Tarshish or England) will come against them for their spoils. Notice that the neighbouring countries are NOT mentioned, not even the Palestinians... why??? There is a war coming that Zephaniah 2:4&5 as well as Isaiah 17:1 must come to pass, this explains the near future. There is a rapture of the church before the antichrist is revealed and then all hell will break loose if you know what I mean!

Just continue witnessing and bringing people to Christ. This is the time for true believers to reap the harvest. Your loved ones are important, so tell them of Jesus and the plan of salvation now! If they hear and accept, Praise the Lord, and if not you planted a seed.
If you want to stay current with End Times Prophecies, I recommend Hal Lindsey. He covers the current events and ties them to the bible and is a credible teacher. Remember, not Even Christ knows the time of his return. It is only for the Father to know. However, we can see the biblical signs of the season of the return. From what I have studied of the bible, the fig tree is getting pretty ripe.

I watch Hal Lindsey and agreet with Tom Williams. Only God knows the time of HIs coming, but we are seeing the "birth pangs" as predicted they are coming harder and closer together. More and more natural disasters. Worse and worse natural disasters. Yep, the End of Times is near. But only God knows how near. Keep looking up!
If the Weinland's are the two witnesses spoken of in the Bible - let's see fire shoot from their mouths!!!! No they aren't the witnesses. The witnesses are probably Elijah and possibly Moses. The witnesses will be sent from God.
as i sit and feel the earth moving and read the death of fish and birds i just feel that Jesus is still caring and letting us know - those that are watching He is coming very soon. lets be pack up looking up because we are going up.
The world looks at these events with fear and dread, yet those of us who are looking with joyful expectation to the Lords coming, see these events as confirmation of our hope. I believe, with Frank from the comment above, that this is the time to tell our loved ones and anyone who will listen, that they may not have tomorrow to decide where they will spend eternity. TODAY is the day of salvation. Tomorrow is guarenteed to no one.
Magnetic pole shift? HAARP? Cold weather? Disease?...Nobody has an answer right now. One thing is certain, when we are given an "answer", it will be that this is no big deal. I certainly would NOT be using Ron Weinland as an authority on prophecy. He leads a splinter cult that broke off from the larger cult of Armstrongism several years ago. The guy is nuts. this is in fact the early stage of 'birth pains' Jesus spoke of- in fact people who at present are non-believers are most likely the ones who'll be left behind. It's true that people have been crying 'the end' for centuries but this is the real end times as so many prophecies are being fulfilled right in front of us. We cannot know exact dates but Jesus said you will know the times by the 'signs.' There have been so many signs in the last few years that one has to be completely unconscious not to recognize them...
The Antichrist will come from Russia- he will form a coallition army of 10 nations against Israel and against the U.S.- Russians will invade Jerusalem and hijack the temple mount at which time the Antichrist will claim himself to be the Messiah. It is only now a few years away that this will happen.
Take heed - this is the real end of the western world. God will destroy the occidental nations and after the battle of Har Megiddo the people who will still be alive will be called the 'chosen people.'
They will rebuild the city of David but after the end times apocalypse.
your attention to spiritual matters is commendable. True, no one knows the day or the hour, not even the Son. Only the father. And we must keep on the watch for the signs that Jesus warned us of, for increasing frequency, and greater intensity, which distinguishes our time period from any other in the past. please keep in mind that much of God's word is SYMBOLIC, especially Revelation. The bible can interpret itself, if you allow it to, by studying it by subject.
Calculations of the end are not for us. We are to be preaching the good news of Jehovah's kingdom, how it can help mankind, and foostep -follow his chosen king jesus christ. The bible doesn't mention the word "rapture"....and it doesn't say when or how long the great tribulation is. All we should be concerned with is being found "unblemished from the world" when the master returns and doing all we can to save our fellow man.

Just as one never knows exactly what day a new building under construction will actually be opened, an onlooker can see how finished the building is, and to be able to judge just when the opening will happen. So with the Gospels - we have been given a number of things to look for in prophecy as stages leading up to the final day when Jesus Christ returns, from where I stand the floors are being swept and the last drops of paint are drying, The Jews are in their homeland, the 'New World Order' is in place to take over world government, the lifetime period from 1948 is fast running out - the time for Christ's return is Very Near whatever the date !!
The word of God also says there will be false prophets and those that claim to be Christ. One of the ways to distinguish these people are when they claim to know a date for the end of the wolrd and/or they make prophecies that don't come true. Given those criteria Weinland and Camping are automatically going against scripture. Also, the bible tells us that the generation that sees Israel become a nation for the third time will also see the return of Jesus Christ and the end times. Israel became a nation in 1948 after WW2 when the world decided to create (give back) the land surrounding Jerusalem to the Jews who had been scattered around the world. This was in a effort to to "make up" for the horrors of the Holocaust. So it has been 62 going on 63 years since this occured. So the question is what does God consider a lifetime? Whatever the time it is hastening quickly, even in the past two years. Be prepared!

The fig tree Jesus is talking about in Matthew chapter 24 verse 32 is Israel becoming a nation in 1948. When Israel became a nation Jesus said summer is near etc. this generation will not pass. So if a generation is 70 years then 1948 + 70 = 2018 then if you subtract 7 years for the tribulation, the tribulation period could start around 2012 which is so funny the Myan calendar ends on Dec 21, 2012, (God could make it one second less than a generation if he wanted or hours less or days less, his choice).
All believers should study Gods law and prophesy in order to be ready for the return of our Messiah. If we love him we will keep his commandments and watch for his coming.
I am sure these sudden bird and fish deaths are a sign, no matter what the "cause" may be it has created a stir and people are looking to the bible for answers, so thats proof enough to me that its a sign and the sign says " wake up! "

Don't forget the other animal deaths. Turtles, sharks, Octopus, lobsters, jellyfishes, starfishes, pilot whales and alligators all have washed up ashore by hundreds since 2009. Although more fishes and birds were counted. Don't forget the Bats, Salamanders, Ducks, Geese, bees and crickets also have been showing up dead in by over a hundred in 2011. The bees I think were millions in 2009. It's not only the flying birds and fishes that are dying. Weird that certain species are dying off mysteriously. Dolphins (not by massive amounts) during those time periods also washed up dead.

I know God is in control; He says in His word that he would punish those that destroy the earth. So he does allow governments to do destructive things, and the US isn't the only one using this technology. It would behoove every human being living on God's now green earth to get educated on what 'The Elite" is doing and the possible consequence to us eventually. This technology has to do with electrons, neutrons, atoms, ions, plasma, basics of electricity. Every life on earth including fish, and birds and humans, need oxygen to live. From what I have read, it appears that deaths might have been due to Oxygen deprivation. You be the judge, study the sites I have included, there are plenty more, study some chemistry and biology or seek out a teacher of science and get their opinion.
As you read about HAARP, ask yourself, why haven't we heard something about this technology, why don't the news reports investigate and report of all of the dying. Things 'they' don't want us to know gets "swept under the rug" Consider this, the brain has 2 hemispheres, each with it's own pattern of electricity. If a wave from one hemisphere crosses over into the other hemisphere, seizure activity is indicated on a graph if your brain is being studied because of seizures. A bat is blind, how does it travel, how do salmon know to swim upstream and at what time, how do geese know when to fly south for the winter and north for the summer. In the reports, some animals weren't where they were supposed to be. Why? This technology is working on communication (airplanes, satalites etc.). Earth is one big ball of different frequencies of electricity. The magnetic north has moved. This technology has something to do with electromagnetics. What do you know about that. I don't know much about any of it, but it looks suspicious to me. What do you think?
