Galavis was the emcee for the event, which gathered over 500 community members in support of children in foster care. During the event, guests listened to a testimonial from a 22-year-old woman named Mimi, who was born into foster care, and is currently battling stage III cervical cancer. Music was provided by DJ Kutcha and entertainment was provided by International Star of Stage and Screen Valerie Perri.

The evening’s wine was provided by Shawn-Ross International Importers.

Also in attendance at the charity event were CNN Latino anchor Mario Elvira Salazar, Senator Rene Garcia, journalist Jennifer Valoppi, Christian and Brittany Slater, Judge Cindy Lederman, and Judge Bronwyn Miller.

Voices For Children Foundation raises funds to ensure that abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Miami-Dade County has a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem and that financial assistance and other resources including health, education, and social needs, are available to them.
