The residents of Maryland woke up today with 12 inches of snow. An overnight snow storm left the main areas of Baltimore, Ellicott City, Columbia, Clarksville, Hanover, Elkridge, Glen Burnie, Frederick, and Towson among others buried and having to dig out to do anything.

Most roads were covered and maked difficult to drive. Public schools and federal offices where closed for the day. Also, some private business that did not expect to close, had to do it under the severity of the weather. Even major shopping Centers and the Columbia Mall.

After 8:00 am there was reported several traffic problems. Some passengers through “El Zol 107.9 fm” radio reported broken down cars on 495 Capital Beltway. The crossway of route 175 and Dobbin Road near the city of Columbia. Some accidents where reported through out the surrounding areas.
