Maryland task force present report to assist small business

The state's Task Force on Small Business has submitted recommendations to Governor Martin O'Malley  to help small business and create additional jobs for the state. The task force presented the recommendations in a report to the Governor Wednesday.

Some of the recommendations included extending the state's Small Business Reserve program, revamping the state's financing program for small businesses, and the creation of a Small Business Commission.

Governor O'Malley has already proposed a $3,000 tax credit incentive for businesses for each unemployed Maryland person they hire. Once approved, the plan would run for a year with a $20 million cap.
