Maryland farmers' markets opening in May

In Maryland, it seems as if a majority of farmers' markets open either in May or June. While farmers' markets go back centuries, they did fade for a time -- but now appear to be making a comeback. The following list does include some new markets.

Baltimore County

The Catonsville Sunday Farmers' Market opens for the season on May 4. Its hours will be 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Its specialties include wine, coffee, and baked goods. To learn more, call Teal Cary at (410) 719-9609.

Baltimore City
