The 2nd annual Black Celebrity Giving Award winners were announced via Twitter on Monday January 20, 2013. There were 15 awards presented to nonprofit organizations all across in United States. Maryland based The Warford Foundation won the 2013 Best Nonprofit of the Year in the Southeast Region. The Warford Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was founded by Parthenia Warford. The organization is dedicated to assisting military widows and single mothers with financial assistance for nursing school. This organization is vital in helping nursing students become empowered nurses.
