A United States Air Force non-commissioned officer pleaded guilty in federal court yesterday, April 21, to six counts of sexually exploiting a minor to “produce child pornography.”
William Gazafi, 44, of Lusby, Md., was nabbed by an undercover officer while trolling and posting on an incest-dedicated website. He allegedly sent as many as seven images to the agent online, claiming he was the photographer of at least three of the images.
Accusations against Gazafi include discussing his sexual interest in children and allegedly confessing he had drugged and molested several children, including an infant as young as five months old.
At the time of his arrest last year he was in possession of several, non-specified, digital media items.
Gazafi is due back in federal court next week.
According to law enforcement authorities, if convicted, the Air force Master Sgt. faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 15 years in prison. A maximum sentence could be 30 years in prison with a lifetime of supervision upon release.
