Mary Tyler Moore 'recovering nicely' following brain surgery

Legendary actress Mary Tyler Moore faced a rather tricky situation over the weekend, as she had a small brain tumor revealed after knowing about it for years. The operation took four hours in total, and there now is some good news -- it ended up being a success.

Speaking to People Magazine, Moore's publicist had this to say about the good news:

"According to her surgeon, she tolerated the procedure without difficulty and is recovering nicely with her husband at her bedside. (She) will require no additional treatment."

Moore is of course primarily known for her work in both "The Dick Van Dyke Show" to go along with her own self-titled program -- which in many ways also made Betty White a worldwide star.

Stay tuned -- we'll have some more details from Moore's camp as they come up.
