Having created an album that succeeds in finding a range of textures, Mary Scholz is now deep into the core of her tour. Her record release party carried the album momentum forward into the tour. Here are the enthusiastic thoughts she shared ahead of the successful, well-received album release show.

W.E. What are your thoughts and feelings about the upcoming album release show?

M.S. I am so excited to get back up the stage and kick off the album release tour. Even more so, I'm excited to have everyone hear the album. The music has come such a long way from its initial acoustic creation and it will be interesting to bring that into the show, as well as to strip it back down to just piano or just guitar for a bit of it as well.

Bar Lubitsch is such a great spot - the show will be in the back room - it's intimate and has such a great vibe - and they just brought in an upright piano that I can't wait to get my hands on! I'll be having various special guests up on stage that night, which I'm also looking forward to. It's an early show, 8-10 p.m., so we have room to properly celebrate! Singer/songwriter Sarah Ault, who will be joining me on tour, will be kicking off the night at 8pm so if you're coming, you definitely want to get there to see her!

Having most recently performed in Austin, New Orleans, Orlando and Atlanta, Scholz next plays in Nashville with Sarah Ault on March 27.
