"Weeds" star Mary-Louise Parker has been accused of having a homophobic meltdown in a New York antique store, calling the owner a "f*g" and reportedly threatening to have him killed according to the shop's owner and TMZ reports on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
The celebrity news site spoke with Mary-Louise Parker's rep who stated that MLP and her friend entered the Saugerties, New York shop back on January 2 to collect a commissions check after the shop sold one of her purses.
A confrontation broke out between MLP's friend and the store owner after the owner refused to pay Parker's friend. The owner then claims that Mary-Louise Parker stepped in and attempted to take advantage of her celebrity status, and also threatened his life. MLP's rep stated that Parker had absolutely nothing to do with the argument that took place between the store owner and her friend.
Mary-Louise Parker's rep claims that as soon as the store owner attempted to bring MLP into the disagreement, Parker made her way out of the shop.
TMZ reports that the store owner, Daniel Seldin filed an incident report with the NY police following the alleged altercation, accusing Parker of threatening his life, saying, "DO YOU WANT TO WAKE UP TOMORROW? I'LL MAKE ONE PHONE CALL." Seldin said Parker also called him a "f*g."
Daniel Seldin also took a picture of Mary- Louise Parker while she was in the store, claiming he snapped the photo during Parker's homophobic meltdown.
Mary-Louise Parker is best known for her lead role on Showtime's television series Weeds portraying Nancy Botwin. Fans can check out MLP's latest film roles this year in "R.I.P.D." and"RED 2."
