Last night, Examiner.com was one the scene at the Diet Pepsi's Kick-Off event for fashion week: The ‘Diet Pepsi Style Studio’ fashion show presented by Simon Doonan at The Box at Lincoln Center. Mary-Kate Olsen, Debra Messing, Sandra Lee (Food Network), Kristin Chenoweth (ABC’S GCB), Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl), Angela Simmons, Simon Doonan(Diet Pepsi Style Studio Fashion Show Director), Jonathan Adler (Diet Pepsi Style Studio designer), Jay Manuel (America’s Next Top Model), Jay Alexander (America’s Next Top Model), Christian Cota (Diet Pepsi capsule collection designer), Lorenzo Martone, Jennifer Aspen (ABC’s GCB), Marjorie Gubelman and Fern Mallis were a few of the stars in attendance.
Diet Pepsi gave four up-and-coming regional designers the opportunity to showcase their collections at the star-studded ‘Diet Pepsi Style Studio’ fashion show. Curated by Simon Doonan and presented on a set designed by Jonathan Adler, the ‘Diet Pepsi Style Studio’ fashion show featured three themed fall looks from each designer infused with their unique hometown perspective. The themes, reflecting key style trends, include fierce animal prints, avant garde workwear and metallic finishes inspired by the sleek Diet Pepsi can.
The four designers selected to display their collections include: “Project Runway” alum and Dallas-based Shirin Askari; Denver, Colorado’s Rachel Hurst of Rae Marie; Genoveva Christoff from Columbus, OH and Elise Bergman of Chicago, IL.
Diet Pepsi is back as an official sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to refresh consumers by providing fun and uplifting moments throughout the week. The Diet Pepsi Refresh Studio, designed by Jonathan Adler, provides guests a place to relax and recharge in the Grand Lobby, while staying up-to-date with the week’s trends and shows. Diet Pepsi will also treat guests to ‘refreshing moments,’ daily, surprising experiences designed to delight and uplift fashionistas.
